A Christian school and church campus is seeking a professional Armed Security Officer to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, church members, and visitors. This role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to interact respectfully with families and faculty while maintaining a secure campus. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and understands the importance of protecting a faith-based educational environment. Responsibilities
- Provide a visible and professional security presence on campus
- Monitor school and church grounds to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors
- Control access points and monitor campus activity
- Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, and surrounding property
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, or suspicious activity
- Coordinate with school administration, church staff, and local law enforcement when necessary
- Assist with safety procedures during school arrival, dismissal, and church events
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
Requirements- Florida Class D Security Officer License (Required)
- Florida Class G Armed Security License (Required)
- Must be able to legally carry and responsibly handle a firearm while on duty
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with students, staff, and families
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications- Military experience
- Prior law enforcement experience
- Previous armed security experience
- Experience working in school, church, or community environments
