Armed Security Officer – Christian Church & School Campus

A Christian school and church campus is seeking a professional Armed Security Officer to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, church members, and visitors. This role requires strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to interact respectfully with families and faculty while maintaining a secure campus. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and understands the importance of protecting a faith-based educational environment. Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and professional security presence on campus
• Monitor school and church grounds to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors
• Control access points and monitor campus activity
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, and surrounding property
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, or suspicious activity
• Coordinate with school administration, church staff, and local law enforcement when necessary
• Assist with safety procedures during school arrival, dismissal, and church events
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements

• Florida Class D Security Officer License (Required)
• Florida Class G Armed Security License (Required)
• Must be able to legally carry and responsibly handle a firearm while on duty
• Strong observational and communication skills
• Professional demeanor and ability to interact with students, staff, and families
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Military experience
• Prior law enforcement experience
• Previous armed security experience
• Experience working in school, church, or community environments
