Armed Security Officer (Part Time Over Night)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Armed Security Officer will work in a variety of settings, ensuring the safety of personnel and assets through surveillance, conflict management, and law enforcement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to ensure the safety of premises.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals on site.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Participate in ongoing training related to loss prevention, emergency response, and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess a valid armed security license as per state regulations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
• Military experience is considered an asset.
