Art and STEM Afterschool Program Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated instructor to join our educational team, especially for the Fall 2026 and future semesters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and experience working with children of various ages.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, such as tutoring, daycare, camp counseling, or babysitting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Background in early childhood education or childhood development is advantageous.
• Experience in subjects relevant to science, arts and crafts, Spanish, etc is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students effectively.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering student growth and success.
• Able to work 5 hours per week, 1hr per day (M-F).
• Open to work in Fairfax, Arlington and Alexandria county public schools.
• Able to get the FCPS badge (if you have it that is a plus!).
