Art Director – Short Film Dubai

This role is ideal for a seasoned Art Director with a strong background in set design and wardrobe, looking to contribute to a short film project in Dubai. The position requires hands-on involvement in creating and managing the visual environment of the production, ensuring that all set and wardrobe elements align with the director’s vision. The project is scheduled for a one or two-day shoot, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the film’s aesthetic on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute all aspects of set design and wardrobe for the short film
• Collaborate closely with the director and producer to interpret and realize the creative vision
• Source, select, and organize props, set pieces, and wardrobe items as required
• Supervise on-site setup and breakdown of sets and wardrobe
• Ensure all visual elements are cohesive, period-appropriate, and support the narrative
• Manage time and resources efficiently to meet tight production schedules
• Address and resolve any on-set design or wardrobe challenges promptly
  
  

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience as an Art Director or Production Designer in film or related media
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in set design and wardrobe for short films or similar projects
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a keen eye for detail
• On-site availability in Dubai for the duration of the project (1–2 days)
• Knowledge of local suppliers and resources in Dubai is a plus
• Willingness to travel if not currently based in Dubai
