We're on the lookout for a talented Art Director/Senior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic creative team. The Role

As a Senior Graphic Designer/Art Director, you will be a driving force behind our creative vision, leading our team of talented designers and shaping the visual direction of our branding and marketing initiatives. Your exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities will be instrumental in delivering innovative and impactful solutions that captivate audiences and propel our clients' brands to new heights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall visual strategy and creative direction for client brands
  • Own project deadlines and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed upon timelines
  • Mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and art direction
  • Collaborate with strategists, account teams, and clients to understand project goals and objectives
  • Conceptualize and design innovative branding solutions, marketing campaigns, and advertising collateral
  • Ensure brand consistency and adherence to established guidelines across all design projects
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices
  • Present design concepts and rationale to clients and internal teams
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budgets
  • Maintain high standards of quality control for all design outputs

This position will work with the leadership team and report to the Creative Director.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in graphic design, branding, and/or and marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Extensive portfolio showcasing exceptional branding and marketing design work, creativity, and strategic thinking
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Firefly and AdobeAcrobat) and other design software
  • Knowledge of Figma and WordPress
  • Thorough knowledge of offset printing, prepress, and print production processes, including color management, file preparation, and press checks
  • In-depth understanding of branding principles, typography, layout, and design trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with proven ability to lead and contribute effectively in a remote environment
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team of designers
  • Ability to manage production schedule and delegate tasks to designers
  • Demonstrated ability to connect design solutions to measurable client goals (e.g., awareness, engagement, donations, or sales)
  • Strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Understanding of digital design trends and best practices
  • Proven track record of delivering successful branding and marketing design projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in any of the following, a plus: Motion Graphics, Illustration, Video editing, Videography, Photography, Photo/Color, Photo/Color Editing, Website design and Social media marketing.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
