Art Gallery Manager

Location: Gallery 6, Second Floor, Al Abraaj Centre, Plot 15, F-6 Markaz, Islamabad
Working Days: Tuesday – Sunday
Hours: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm daily
Compensation: Fixed Salary + Sales Revenue Incentive (depending on experience)

About Gallery 6

Gallery 6 is Islamabad’s largest privately owned art gallery, showcasing an extensive collection of drawings, paintings, prints, and sculptures by master, established, and emerging Pakistani artists. Since its founding in 2008, the gallery has hosted numerous exhibitions, awards, and art-related initiatives aimed at promoting Pakistani art around the world.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive, creative, and organized Gallery Manager to lead daily gallery operations, engage with visitors and art collectors, and elevate the gallery’s presence both on the ground and online.

Visitor Interaction & Gallery Operations

- Welcome and assist gallery visitors, collectors, artists, and partners.
- Provide knowledgeable and engaging information about artworks and exhibitions.
- Ensure the gallery space is clean, inviting, and professionally maintained.
- Manage inventory, documentation, and artwork handling procedures.

Communication

- Maintain excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Urdu to effectively interact with diverse audiences.
- Respond professionally to inquiries via phone, email, and in person.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

- Manage Gallery 6’s social media presence, especially Instagram.
- Create and schedule engaging content that highlights exhibitions, artworks, events, and artist stories.
- Analyze performance metrics and assist in audience growth strategy.

Creative Content Production

- Use design tools (e.g., Canva) to produce visually compelling marketing materials: invitation cards, social media posts, videos, etc.
- Capture photos and short videos during gallery events and exhibitions.

Business Management & Sales

- Support sales processes and help facilitate transactions with buyers.
- Maintain sales records and assist in preparing sales reports.
- Contribute to strategies for increasing footfall, engagement, and revenue.

Event Coordination

- Assist in planning and executing exhibitions, launches, artist talks, and special events.
- Coordinate logistics, artist communication, and guest lists.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Passionate about art, culture, and creative communities
- Strong command of both spoken & written English and Urdu
- Experience managing social media accounts, with a strong aesthetic sense
- Comfortable creating marketing content using design tools like Canva
- Customer-centric, presentable, and confident in public interactions
- Prior gallery, museum, or business management experience is a plus
