Art Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum & Lesson Planning:
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the IGCSE Art syllabus.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and learning.
• Instruction & Teaching:
• Teach a range of art techniques, including drawing, painting, coloring, and shading.
• Instruct students on the safe and proper use of art tools and equipment.
• Integrate art history, cultural contexts, and diverse artistic traditions into lessons.
• Student Assessment & Feedback:
• Assign and grade art projects and assignments, maintaining records of student progress.
• Provide constructive and targeted feedback to students.
• Help students develop their art portfolios and organize exhibitions.
• Classroom & Material Management:
• Manage and maintain the inventory of art materials and equipment.
• Prepare and arrange art materials and equipment for student use.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Liaise with Heads of Department and Learning Support for students with special educational needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents during meetings and through reports.
• Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the school's art programs.
