Design and implement art and art history lesson plans to meet learning goals.

Teach foundational art skills and techniques, including drawing, painting, and sculpting, using various methods like lectures and demonstrations.

Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain records of their work and development.

Maintain a well-organized, clean, and supportive classroom environment, manage art materials, and ensure the proper use of tools and equipment.

Inspire students to develop their own artistic styles, express themselves, and cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation of art.

Manage art supply inventory, purchase materials, and potentially prepare students for art exhibitions and competitions.

Work with other faculty members, participate in meetings, and communicate with parents to integrate art into the broader school curriculum.

Proficiency in a range of artistic techniques, mediums, and the principles of design.

Ability to plan effective lessons, manage a classroom, and adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles and abilities.

Knowledge of various artistic movements, techniques, and cultural contexts.

Clear and effective communication to provide feedback, motivate students, and collaborate with colleagues.

Strong organizational skills to manage art supplies, equipment, and student progress effectively.
