Curriculum & Instruction: Plan & teach engaging lessons in visual arts, covering techniques, art history, and mediums (painting, sculpture, etc.) to build skills and understanding.
Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive environment; manage art supplies; ensure a stimulating space for creativity.
Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student projects, provide constructive criticism, and report on progress to students and parents.
Exhibitions & Events: Organize school art shows, displays, and potentially external competitions to showcase student work.
Collaboration: Work with other teachers on interdisciplinary projects; liaise with parents and the community.
Professional Development: Stay updated on art education trends and new techniques
Key Duties:
Teach drawing, painting, shading, and other methods.
Introduce concepts like lines, color theory, and art history.
Manage inventory of art materials and equipment.
Prepare students for portfolio development.
Participate in school functions (decorations, cultural programs).
