Art Teacher

Core Responsibilities:

• Curriculum & Instruction: Plan & teach engaging lessons in visual arts, covering techniques, art history, and mediums (painting, sculpture, etc.) to build skills and understanding.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive environment; manage art supplies; ensure a stimulating space for creativity.
• Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student projects, provide constructive criticism, and report on progress to students and parents.
• Exhibitions & Events: Organize school art shows, displays, and potentially external competitions to showcase student work.
• Collaboration: Work with other teachers on interdisciplinary projects; liaise with parents and the community.
• Professional Development: Stay updated on art education trends and new techniques

Key Duties:

• Teach drawing, painting, shading, and other methods.
• Introduce concepts like lines, color theory, and art history.
• Manage inventory of art materials and equipment.
• Prepare students for portfolio development.
• Participate in school functions (decorations, cultural programs).
