The Role: Art Teacher

We are looking for an Art Teacher who understands that creativity is a process, not just a final product. You recognize that in a traditional setting, students are often taught to "see it from only one side," but at Kompass, we challenge them to explore every angle, medium, and perspective.

You won't just be teaching techniques; you will be facilitating an environment where students feel safe to take risks, fail forward, and find their unique visual voice.

Key Responsibilities

* Design & Facilitate: Create a progressive art curriculum that integrates with other subjects (STEAM) and encourages inquiry-based learning.

* Foster Agency: Empower students to choose their projects and mediums, guiding them from ideation to exhibition.

* Studio Management: Maintain an inspiring, organized, and sustainable "maker-space" environment.

* Collaborate: Work closely with other educators to create cross-disciplinary projects that bring learning to life.

* Documentation: Capture and share the "process" of art-making, highlighting student growth and reflection.

What We’re Looking For

* The Progressive Mindset: You value curiosity over compliance and understand that there is no "right way" to create.

* Expertise: A strong background in Fine Arts or Art Education with a portfolio that demonstrates versatility.

* Experience: Previous experience in a progressive or international school setting is highly preferred.

* Communication: Fluent in English; ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues with empathy and clarity.
