Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive art curricula tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, incorporating various mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture , crafts
  • Lead engaging art classes, workshops, and tutoring sessions that motivate students to express themselves creatively.
  • Manage classroom environments effectively by maintaining positive behavior management strategies and ensuring a safe, inclusive space for all learners.
  • Plan lessons that align with childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and special education needs when applicable.
  • Support students’ artistic growth through personalized feedback, encouragement, and guidance on techniques like ballet, dancing, cooking, or culinary arts when relevant.
  • Organize exhibitions or showcases to celebrate student achievements and foster community involvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum quality and incorporate innovative teaching methods such as theater or photography projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in classroom teaching or workshop facilitation with children or adults in artistic disciplines such as painting, sewing, ballet, theater, or culinary arts.
  • Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to various age groups including preschoolers and early childhood learners.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles.
  • Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive educational settings is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and developmental stages while fostering creativity and confidence.

Pay: $24.14 - $29.08 per hour
