Role Overview:

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a passionate and reflective Art teacher certified to teach grades K–12. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity, self-expression, and artistic exploration through engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction. This educator will foster an appreciation for visual arts while helping students build technical skills and confidence in their creative abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver art instruction aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
• Implement age-appropriate projects that support artistic skill development and creative exploration.
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students across grade levels.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and personalize instruction.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support student creativity and engagement.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring studio or classroom environment.
  
  

Qualifications:

Knowledge / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Must hold valid Florida Teacher Certification in Art Education K–12 OR a Temporary Florida Teaching Certificate with an agreement to complete requirements for full Florida Educator Certification in Art Education within three years of employment start date.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching or art instruction experience preferred.
• Strong background in visual arts, art history, and studio practices.
• Experience with individualized and inclusive teaching approaches.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Must have empathy for students and enthusiasm for developing personalized, one-to-one learning relationships
