Art Teacher (Private Studio)

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their artistic talents while fostering a love for the arts in a supportive learning environment. This role involves teaching various art techniques, promoting creativity, and integrating art into the broader curriculum. The Art Teacher will work closely with students of different ages, helping them develop their artistic skills and express themselves through various mediums.

Duties

• Implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and encourage creativity.
• Teach various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their artistic abilities.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning styles
• Organize art exhibitions or showcases to display student work and celebrate their achievements.
• Maintain an organized classroom space with appropriate supplies and resources for students.
• Stay updated on current trends in art education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Discuss curriculum with parents and assist in getting new students enrolled.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a related field.
• Experience in implementing a set curriculum planning tailored for various age groups.
• Ability to create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Experience with classroom management and/ or providing individualized support to students is beneficial.
• Familiarity with private school settings is advantageous but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students effectively.
• Implement a "no waste" culture in the classroom

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.24 - $26.79 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
