Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Therapist, MA, ATR, LPC to join our dynamic mental health and wellness team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in art therapy to provide innovative therapeutic services that promote emotional healing, personal growth, and improved mental health outcomes. You will work with diverse populations, including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, and those receiving hospice or outpatient care. Your creative approach combined with clinical skills will help clients express themselves through art, music, dance, and recreational therapies. Duties
- Conduct individual and group art therapy sessions tailored to clients’ unique needs across various settings such as outpatient clinics, hospice care, or community programs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans integrating behavioral therapy, mental health counseling, and recreational therapies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with disabilities, autism, dementia, or undergoing addiction counseling
- Document clinical progress accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
- Utilize CPT coding for billing purposes related to therapeutic services provided
- Facilitate expressive therapies including music therapy and dance therapy to enhance emotional well-being
- Support clients through behavioral health interventions that promote coping skills and resilience
Skills
- Proven experience in art therapy combined with a strong understanding of behavioral health principles
- Skilled in working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards and experience managing medical records securely under HIPAA guidelines
- Ability to conduct individual and group therapy sessions effectively in outpatient or recreational therapy settings
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing therapeutic services accurately
- Experience providing hospice care or working with patients facing dementia or other age-related conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect with diverse populations including those with disabilities or addiction issues
- Competence in utilizing behavioral therapy techniques alongside expressive arts modalities such as music and dance therapy

Pay: $48,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
