Overview
The District Director is a critical executive leadership role responsible for driving strategy, performance, and growth across the Chicago District. As a member of the executive leadership team, this individual will lead a large, high-performing sales organization and oversee approximately
$50M
in annual revenue. The District Director will play a key role in shaping district direction, developing talent, and executing sales strategies across all product categories.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Leadership & Strategy

Implement and direct district-wide sales strategies to achieve and exceed quota

Build, scale, and structure teams to maximize performance across all product categories

Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively restructure when necessary
-
Recognize performance deficits and implement corrective strategies
-
Ensure alignment between district objectives and corporate strategy
-
Participate in and present during corporate reviews and executive presentations
-
Provide diligent upward communication to the VP regarding field needs, issues, and risks
Sales Leadership & Performance Management

Assign and manage quotas across the district
-
Drive consistent, intentional selling activities that lead to long-term sales success

Participate in all contract discussions to drive sales outcomes

Creatively leverage contracts and pricing strategies to achieve district goals

Conduct monthly district sales calls to communicate initiatives and updates

Hold monthly sales meetings with the VP
Talent Development & People Leadership

Identify, recruit, and hire top talent

Conduct annual performance reviews
-
Properly document performance issues and manage terminations

Encourage and support continued education and professional development
-
Provide additional clinical and sales training as needed

Lead through consistent communication, coaching, and field support

Customer & Relationship Management

Manage key surgeon relationships and strategic clinical partnerships

Manage key hospital and administrative relationships

Coordinate quarterly customer business reviews in partnership with Area Managers

Identify and develop potential Arthrex partnerships with customers

Maximize surgeon education by securing commitments to local and Arthrex-sponsored events

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience with Arthrex devices or competitive orthopedic medical device portfolios

Proven success leading sales teams and driving performance in a complex, high-growth medical device environment

Strong strategic, financial, and contract negotiation acumen

Ability to build relationships with senior clinicians and healthcare administrators

Willingness to travel as required
