Artificial Intelligence - Principal Engineer

Job Summary:
The Principal AI Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced AI solutions for our clients. Along with a team of AI engineers and data scientists, work closely with clients to understand their needs, and architect solutions that leverage AI to solve complex business problems. Your expertise will drive the adoption of AI technologies and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and sustainable AI solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Define and drive the AI solution architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
• Lead the design and development of AI solutions, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and secure.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and requirements.
• Present AI solution proposals and technical architectures to stakeholders.
• Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to clients on AI adoption and integration.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies.
• Evaluate and recommend AI tools, frameworks, and platforms.
• Oversee the implementation of AI models, algorithms, and systems, ensuring best practices and high performance.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies

• Expertise in AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or R.
• Strong understanding of data processing and analysis techniques.
• Experience with key cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in AI and machine learning.
• Proven experience in architecting and deploying AI solutions in a professional services or consulting environment.
• Demonstrated success in leading and managing technical teams.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
