Artisan Workshop Technician

Ironware International, Inc. is seeking an artisan for their finishing studio. We manufacture hand forged lighting and furniture sold primarily through the interior design trade. This is an artisanal luxury product that requires an eye for detail and high quality craftsmanship. Training for this position is available for the right candidate.

Part time or Full Time

M-F 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

What You Will Do:

• Hand Painted Artisan Finishes
• UL Testing
• Electrification of Chandeliers and Sconces
• Use of spray paint booth
• Packing of Product for Shipping
• Work on multiple projects at the same time
• Use of hand tools and small power tools

Essential job skills & criteria:

• Ability to work independently when needed without direct supervision and remain on task
• Ability to stand OR sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to read work orders and complete shipping paperwork accurately/legibly.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to climb a staircase ladder.
• Manual (finger/hand) dexterity for wiring and finishing pieces.
• Eyesight that permits finely detailed work.
• *Ironware International uses solvents and paints in the studio area. Applicant
• should not have any breathing/contact/hypersensitivity issues or difficulties being
• in an environment when these chemicals and/or paints are used. (Note: All
• OSHA requirements are met in providing masks, gloves, chemical protection and
• ventilation for studio employees.)
• Electrical Experience a plus
• Decorative painting experience a plus
