AS400 Developer

core Technical Skills

• 3-5 years of experience with IBM i / AS400 systems
• Expert-level proficiency in RPG, RPGLE (Free and Fixed), CL, CLLE
• Strong expertise in DB2/400, SQL, performance tuning, and indexing
• Experience with IBM i system administration concepts (jobs, subsystems, libraries, security)
• Hands-on experience with debugging, profiling, and performance optimization

Integration and Modernization

• Experience integrating IBM i with Java, .NET, web applications, or cloud platforms
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, FTP/SFTP
• Exposure to IBM i modernization tools and strategies

Tools and Methodologies

• Experience with change management and version control tools (Aldon, TurnOver, Git)
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in automobile, banking, insurance, manufacturing, or retail domains
• Knowledge of UI modernization tools (WebSphere, Node.js, React, etc.)
• IBM certifications related to IBM i / RPG
