Job Description: AS400/iSeries Development - Lead Programmer Analyst
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced AS400/iSeries Development as a Lead Programmer Analyst.
Technical Skills:

Experience should have 5 to 7 years into AS400 development.

Strong experience with AS400/iSeries platform, including hands-on development experience with RPG/RPGLE, CL/CLLE, DB2/400, and SQLRPG/LE.

Experience with ILE concepts.

Knowledge of MQ, Connect Direct, and FTP interface setup on iSeries.

Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
-
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and DevOps tools (potentially).

Domain knowledge of banking and finance, particularly payments (desirable).

Experience with RTC, ARCAD, or similar code promotion tools (desirable).

Experience with Cloud technologies (potentially).
- Experience with job scheduling tools.

Knowledge of SQL performance tuning.

Responsibilities:
-
Work on IBM iSeries (AS400) platform for software development and production support.
-
Design, develop, and maintain programs using RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CL, and CLLE.

Implement solutions using ILE (Integrated Language Environment) concepts.

Support banking and financial systems, with a focus on the payments domain.
-
Participate in the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC): analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Perform unit testing, integration testing, and assist in automation testing.
-
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution with minimal business impact.

Set up and manage data exchange interfaces using MQ, Connect:Direct, and FTP.

Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and cross-functional teams to deliver business requirements.

Contribute to DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipelines (if applicable).

Use tools like RTC, ARCAD, or similar for version control and code promotion (desirable).

Stay updated with new technologies, including potential cloud integrations.

Familiarity with change management and incident ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).

Communication with customer and producing the daily health/status reports.
