Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to infection control, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Maintain accurate medical records for patients, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.
• Manage patient flow by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Support dentistry procedures by creating a comfortable environment for young patients.
• Utilize dental software such as Open Dental for record management and scheduling tasks.

Skills

• Proficiency in infection control practices and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Experience with medical records management, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Familiarity with dental assisting procedures and terminology, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
• Ability to operate dental software systems like Open Dental efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements

• Valid license of PR
• CPR
• Bilingual
• Certificado de salud vigente
