Job Summary
JLS Paving LLC is seeking a reliable and skilled CDL A Truck Driver for a full-time, on-site role based in Hamden, CT. The CDL A Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport materials and equipment to various job sites. Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, following designated routes and schedules, adhering to safety protocols, and assisting with loading and unloading of equipment. The role requires attention to detail, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining transportation efficiency and safety standards.

Duties

• Must possess a valid CDL A license and a clean driving record
• Experience in operating and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and related equipment (Paving industry trucks and equipment)
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and traffic regulations
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift materials as needed
• Knowledge of working in the paving/asphalt or construction industry is a plus
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime, as needed

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience operating and hauling heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, and concrete pumps
• Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and procedures
• Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of trucks and machinery
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely

Pay: $31.00 - $41.00 per hour
