Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for asphalt and concrete projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and site conditions.
  • Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to develop precise bids that align with project scope and client expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Review construction contracts to ensure scope clarity, risk mitigation, and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in project management tasks including cost control, scheduling support, and tracking project budgets throughout the bidding process.
  • Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights, verify site conditions, and support accurate estimating efforts based on real-world observations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, contracts, revisions, and correspondence to ensure transparency and accountability.

Skills

  • Proficiency in construction estimating tools such as Bluebeam is essential for accurate bid preparation.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes related to asphalt paving and concrete installation within heavy civil projects.
