Asphalt Laborer

Onslow Grading and Paving is now looking to hire asphalt laborers for commercial heavy duty asphalt paving. Competitive hourly rate based on experience. Immediate start following interview of all applicants. Must be able to obtain military installation access.

Daily Responsibilities & Duties

Standing for extensive periods of time

Coordinate backing of truck and dumping asphalt into paver

Shovel, rake and spread asphalt

Assist in placement, displacement, and moving various traffic control devices

Set up and tear down equipment

Qualifications & Skills

Current Driver’s license and acceptable driving record is a plus

Pass Background check for military base access

Pass drug screen

Ability to lift, carry, bend, and twist

Willing to work as needed. Some night work required

Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability

Willingness and ability to learn desired techniques and processes to complete work

Work long days in hot temperatures, handle extremely physical labor, and work around dangerous equipment.

Ability and willingness to perform other asphalt work as directed by foreman
