Asphalt Paver Operator

Hiring Experienced Asphalt Paver Operator / Crew Lead. Seeking a skilled professional with 5-10+ years of hands-on experience in hot mix asphalt paving, chip seal application, and seal coating. Reliable, quality-focused individuals only. MUST be able to TRAVEL.

Duties

• Operate asphalt pavers and related heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, and dump trucks to lay asphalt according to project specifications
• Coordinate with the construction team to prepare the site, including rebar installation, concrete forming, and site grading
• Manage concrete mixers, concrete pumping, and finishing tools to ensure seamless asphalt application and surface quality
• Monitor equipment performance, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to construction site regulations
• Assist with loading materials using commercial vehicles and ensure proper placement of asphalt mix for consistent paving results
• Support other construction activities such as rebar placement or concrete finishing as needed to meet project deadlines

Skills

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment like asphalt pavers, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks
• Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining paving machinery
• Experience with operating an asphalt paver, chip seal, and finishing techniques within a construction setting
• Ability to read blueprints, project plans, and technical instructions accurately
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures specific to construction sites involving heavy machinery
• Teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse crews
• Valid driver’s license

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
