Asphalt Paver Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Asphalt Paver Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating asphalt paving equipment to create smooth, durable road surfaces and parking lots. Duties

• Operate asphalt pavers and related heavy machinery with precision to lay asphalt according to project plans and safety guidelines
• Coordinate with crew members to ensure proper material placement, compaction, and finishing techniques
• Conduct routine inspections of paving equipment, perform minor maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly
• Assist with the setup of construction sites, including grading, leveling, and preparing sub-surfaces for paving operations
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
• Document daily work progress, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts

Skills

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot machinery problems
• Familiarity with construction site procedures, safety standards, and project specifications
• Ability to work effectively in team settings while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
• Valid driver’s license, experience with commercial vehicle operation preferred
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively
