Asphalt Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Asphalt Technician with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the asphalt or paving industry. This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked for an asphalt company and is looking to continue building their expertise in paving, repair, and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our crew to deliver high-quality asphalt solutions while ensuring strict adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in all phases of asphalt paving, including new construction, resurfacing, patching, and seal coating.

• Operate and maintain asphalt equipment such as pavers, rollers, skid steers, and hand tools.

• Prepare work sites by cleaning, grading, and compacting surfaces to ensure proper asphalt application.

• Monitor asphalt temperature, mix quality, and material placement for consistency and durability.

• Follow project specifications, blueprints, and instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality work.

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety regulations and company protocols.

• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations.

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in asphalt paving, maintenance, or a related role with an asphalt company.

• Proven experience operating asphalt equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.

• Knowledge of asphalt mix types, paving techniques, and road repair methods.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials, bending, and standing for long periods.

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic.

• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience reading project plans, blueprints, or work instructions.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively in a crew environment.

• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in asphalt construction and repair.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
