Job Summary


The primary responsibility of the Assembler I is assembling products in adherence to predetermined standards. This position involves the assembly of highly intricate components or equipment that demand strict tolerance thresholds. The Assembler I carefully reviews the assembly and production specifications to identify the required assembly, external product finish, and any specific options. The Assembler I assembles components by ensuring proper fitting of connections, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies per product specifications. This position also involves packaging, and palletizing components for shipment to customers. Operating under general supervision, the Assembler I is tasked with determining operation sequences where specifications may be limited or unavailable.


Essential Duties


  • Assembles assigned product parts in accordance with the Product Assembly Specifications (PAS) and safety regulations.
  • Performs timely quality checks in the work area according to established standards.
  • Utilizes high-quality measuring tools like go/no gauges and measuring tape for conducting quality inspections.
  • Identifies problems with products, machinery, or processes and reports them to the supervisor or maintenance department for resolution.
  • Monitors raw materials in the work cell and communicates low levels before runout occurs.
  • Required to meet daily production quotas, assembly cycle times, and tact times established by management.
  • Complies with all safety regulations and maintains organization and cleanliness of work area/site.
  • Supports organizational goals and upholds the importance of continuous improvement.
  • Performs minor rework as needed to precisely detail parts and components for correct assembly.
  • Potential work areas may include Injection Molding (Pads, Speedi, Small Parts), Whips, CVT, Conduit, VAP or Tooling assembly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Educational Requirements


Required

  • Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume work environment.
  • Proactive “self-starter” with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with peers and leadership throughout the facility
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is crucial as the company holds significant trade secret information.


Preferred

  • High School Diploma/GED
