Assembly Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Assembly Supervisor / Assembly Engineer to manage and improve our pen, pen cap, and toy assembly lines. The candidate will be responsible for manpower handling, line balancing, productivity improvement, quality control, and daily output achievement.

This role requires strong shop-floor presence, basic technical understanding of assembly processes, and the ability to lead operators to meet daily targets.

Key Responsibilities1. Assembly Line Management

• Supervise pen, pen cap, and toy assembly operations
• Ensure smooth workflow and proper material availability at each station
• Achieve daily and hourly production targets

2. Manpower Handling

• Allocate operators to stations as per skill
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline
• Train new operators on assembly methods and SOPs

3. Line Balancing & Productivity

• Improve cycle time and reduce idle time
• Suggest layout improvements and work standardization
• Support achieving targets like 1 pen per 2 seconds where applicable

4. Quality Control

• Ensure assembly quality:
• Proper fitment
• Smooth pen operation
• Correct clip orientation
• Barcode placement (no bubble / no bend)
• Reduce rejection and rework

5. Material & Process Control

• Coordinate with store and molding departments for parts availability
• Maintain WIP control and FIFO
• Identify bottlenecks and escalate issues timely

6. Reporting

• Maintain daily production, rejection, and manpower reports
• Share improvement ideas with management
• Support audits and customer visits if required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
