Assembly Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Assembly Operator to join our growing team. As an Operator at Sharpvue's assembly and distribution facility, you will play a hands-on role in building and preparing our MAST surveillance trailers and related products for deployment. This is not a manufacturing role - it is a precision assembly environment where attention to detail, pride in your work, and a commitment to quality are essential to our success. You will work from technical drawings and step-by-step work instructions to assemble complex electromechanical systems, including solar power arrays, camera mounting structures, networking and cabling systems, and trailer-mounted hardware components. Your work directly impacts the reliability of products that our customers depend on to protect people and property.

  • Mount and align cameras, solar panels, lighting, and electronic enclosures to trailer structures
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments correctly and safely
  • Conduct visual quality inspections of your own work and the work of teammates, identifying and correcting defects before product moves to the next stage
  • Complete assembly documentation, work orders, and quality checklists accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation consistent with SS standards
  • Support packaging and preparation of products for distribution and field deployment
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement efforts and lean initiatives
  • Work overtime or extended hours when production demands require it - we appreciate team members who step up when it counts

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience in a professional production, assembly, or electromechanical manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with hand tools and power tools (drills, wrenches, crimping tools, torque tools, etc.)
  • Ability to read and follow technical work instructions, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
  • Strong attention to detail with a genuine commitment to craftsmanship and quality output
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with both mechanical and basic electrical/electronic systems
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to go the extra mile when the team needs it
  • Excellent communication and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience assembling trailers, RVs, vehicles, or similar structural/mechanical platforms
  • Familiarity with 12V/48V DC electrical systems, solar systems, or low-voltage cabling
