Assembly Technician

Job Overview IN-PERSON
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling high-precision components and products, ensuring quality standards are met through meticulous measurement and adherence to schematics and blueprints. Your mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments will drive the efficient production of our innovative solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship and accuracy are paramount.

  • Performs mechanical assembly and box builds on electronics assemblies and cables according to prints, assembly instructions and product specifications using hand tools, power tools, precision instruments and test equipment as required.
  • Reads prints, schematics, assembly instructions, manufacturers repair manuals and job routers as appropriate to determine the methods and sequence of assembly operations.
  • Examines pa11s for surface defects, aligns, fits, and assembles component parts, verifies conformance to documented procedures.
  • Performs testing or programming per customer specifications.
  • Complies with Electrostatic Discharge procedures while handling ESD sensitive devices.
  • Maintains a clean, neat and orderly area ensuring that soldering irons and tools are maintained.
  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of own work.

Interfaces: Intercompany personnel, peers and management personnel, as required.

People Managed: None

Decisions: Under minimal supervision, works alone or as part of a team making recommendations and decisions in support of various projects.

Impact of Error: Impact is on product quality and functionality.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS

Knowledge of electro/mechanical assembly, equipment and their associated applications and processes. Compliance with ESD protection for sensitive parts and product.

Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and associated documents. Complete necessary forms and records as required.

Knowledge of IPC workmanship standard/ Good communications both written and verbal.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

High School diploma and or GED or Equivalent experience in electronic assembly.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
