Assembly Technician ( 3 + yrs req)

Position Summary

Kalamazoo Industries needs a full-time Assembly Technician who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and takes pride in building equipment the right way. You will assemble industrial equipment, components, and subassemblies from blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

This role fits someone who works well with tools, pays attention to details, and helps keep production moving. You will also take part in paint booth rotation as part of normal shop work.

What You'll Do

• Assemble industrial equipment, components, and subassemblies from blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and mechanical skills to complete assembly work
• Speak up when parts, hardware, supplies, or additional information are needed
• Inspect completed work for fit, finish, alignment, quality, and proper operation
• Troubleshoot basic assembly issues, including fit-up, alignment, hardware, and mechanical adjustments
• Rotate through paint booth work as part of the production process
• Coordinate with machine shop, fabrication, engineering, warehouse, and shipping teams as needed
• Follow company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards

Bonus Skills

• Welding or fabrication experience
• Electrical, painting, machine shop, or industrial equipment experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
