Assembly Technician

Mission of the Role

Processes assembly orders from start to finish using basic mechanical assembly and knowledge of Industrial Automation.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months to one year basic mechanical assembly experience required. Degree in Fluid Power or Robotics is preferred.

Key Assembly Technician Accountabilities

  • Assembles product per Hartfiel Automation job folders, which may include, but not limited to, control panel assembly, valve stacking, fitting installation, reading and pulling orders, labeling product, and testing product.
  • Performs final test of finished assemblies.
  • Works with sales teams in the development of new products.
  • Participates in continual process improvement.
  • Responsible for the safe use of basic shop tools and equipment. Responsible to keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Follows all quality processes and procedures as established by Hartfiel Automation.
  • Operates within the intended framework of Hartfiel Automation’s mission, values, and vision statements.
  • Must be able to sit or stand and lift up to 40 pounds infrequently.
  • Must be able to operate hand tools and have complex levels of manual dexterity.

Normal shift is 8am - 5pm from Monday through Friday, with the option to work 7am - 5pm Monday through Thursday and 7am - 11am Fridays.
