Job Summary
The Assessment Analyst – Reporting supports institutional effectiveness, assessment, and reporting functions by preparing and validating data, developing reports and dashboards, and ensuring accuracy of internal and external reporting. Coordinates with functional areas to support compliance with accreditation standards and state reporting requirements, including THECB submissions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Institutional Effectiveness and Compliance Support: Supports institutional effectiveness audits, accreditation reviews, and annual assessment tracking for compliance with SACSCOC and state standards.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Assists with developing dashboards, charts, and reports in platforms such as Power BI or Tableau to communicate key findings and metrics to institutional stakeholders.
- Publication and Research Reporting: Assists with compiling and publishing annual data resources such as the NCTC Factbook; contributes to federal, state, and benchmarking reports (IPEDS, NCCBP, THECB).
- Data Extraction and Analysis: Executes SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze complex data from enterprise systems to support institutional research and reporting.
- State & FAST Reporting: Assists with preparation and review of state reporting files for submission to the THECB, including CBM and FAST reports. Supports data validation and error resolution by identifying inconsistencies and coordinating corrections with functional offices.
- Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may changes based on the needs of the department and the institution.
Required Education
Associate’s degree in information systems, data analytics, business administration or a related field.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or higher in data analytics, research methodology, computer systems, business administration or a related field.
