The purpose of the ITS Asset Management Technician is to support the management of IT assets at all stages of the asset lifecycle. You will work closely with the IT Service Desk Supervisor and Manager to deliver effective asset management procedures, tools, and training. You will also work, as needed, with stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
The City of Savannah's Innovation & Technology Services (ITS) Department is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and customer-focused Asset Management Technician to support the management of technology assets throughout their entire lifecycle. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the City’s technology investments are effectively tracked, maintained, and optimized to support business operations and exceptional public service.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This individual will work closely with the IT Service Desk Supervisor, ITS leadership, vendors, and departments across the City to ensure compliance, accountability, and efficiency in technology asset management.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university supplemented by 3 years of work experience in IT service support or asset management; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong technical learning aptitude.
Any IT-related certifications
Experience with technology projects
Demonstrably high standards in a fast-paced work environment
Work Location: 1000 Chatham Center Drive, Suite 120 Work Hours: 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday
Additional Requirements
Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
