About this Role:

Consertus is seeking an Asset / Move Project Manager I (Relocation Project Manager) to support Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD). This role is responsible for managing Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) and move/relocation activities for new construction, renovation, and swing-space projects—ensuring successful delivery, installation, punch-list completion, and functional occupancy. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with FF&E programming, budgeting, procurement coordination, schedule/logistics planning, stakeholder coordination, and move execution in a public/educational or similar environment.
PMO Location: Monterey Park, CA (with travel to LACCD campus/project sites as needed).
Work Arrangement: Onsite/field-based (as required to support active move/FF&E delivery/installation and campus coordination).
Employment Type: Full-time, W2.
Schedule: Monday–Friday (project/site needs may require flexibility during move windows).
Compensation Range: $101,920 – $108,160 annually

Key Responsibilities:

FF&E / Relocation Project Management

  • Provide FF&E and relocation project management services, including strategic oversight of programming, budgeting, quotes, procurement coordination, scheduling, delivery, installation, and closeout .
  • Coordinate pre-move, move, and post-move planning and execution, including onsite move oversight and punch-list activities.
  • Work under the direction of the College Project Director (CPD) and Manager of Relocation Project Management team .

Procurement & Budget Management

  • Coordinate with Procurement to manage FF&E purchasing using best value and/or low-bid public contracting .
  • Create and maintain FF&E budgets for assigned projects and support budget validation at key milestones.
  • Support value engineering and cost-control strategies to remain within approved budgets.

Design/Construction Coordination

  • Attend weekly project meetings with A/E teams, project managers, contractors, and Building User Groups (BUGs) to ensure FF&E requirements are coordinated and accurate.
  • Review programming, design, and construction documents; confirm power/data/infrastructure/utility needs and anchoring details are coordinated across vendors and disciplines.
  • Assess reuse/relocation of existing furniture/equipment and plan transition logistics.

IT & Specialty Coordination

  • Coordinate IT equipment scope (computers, MFDs, printers, etc.) with the Technology Project Manager for budget, procurement, and installation alignment.
  • Coordinate specialty contractors and movers for services not covered by vendors (delivery, installation, connections, etc.).

Logistics, Installation, and Closeout

  • Coordinate deliveries, access, path of travel, staging, and parking with CPDs/PMs, contractors, Facilities, campus security, and BUGs.
  • Work closely with Asset Management on asset tagging , surplus disposition, and coordination prior to demolition/renovation.
  • Coordinate transfer of FF&E keys and keying plans to campus facilities upon occupancy.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (proposals, POs, packing slips, invoices, freight bills, timecards, etc.) and submit as required.
  • Support FF&E and move closeout activities and provide status reporting to leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

Education (Required):

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Construction/Project Management, Planning, Facilities Management, or related field; OR

• In lieu of degree: 8–12 years of relevant experience.

Experience (Required):

• 6–10 years of project management/coordination experience related to move/relocation management, FF&E, facilities management, interior design, or FF&E procurement/coordination.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and furniture drawings.

• Knowledge of furniture/equipment specifications and procurement.

• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam.

• Flexibility to work at various LACCD colleges and project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting educational facilities and/or public works programs.

• FF&E sourcing, procurement, or asset management experience.

• AutoCAD proficiency.

• Proficiency with Visio or other design/layout tools.

• Interior Design certifications (CID / CCIDQ).

• Memberships/certifications: IIDA, AIA, IFMA, LEED.

Working Hours & Location: Full-time, exempt role with standard business hours. In addition, this is an onsite position, and Monday – Friday in Monterey Park, CA .

Compensation Range: $101,920 – $108,160 annually; Eligible for Bonus
