Assisant Cost Control Engineer

The main purpose of the Cost Control Engineer job is to execute Cost Control tasks including but not limited to those of, Budget Control of Commitments, Cost Forecasting, reporting in an efficient and timely manner as per guidelines set by ESEC.

• Support and conduct the affairs of the function with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
• Support the development of KSA national employees across the function to support corporate objectives, Saudization targets and lead the knowledge dissemination culture to ensure optimal building of internal capabilities and maximize their performance
• Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values across all function’s employees and provide leadership to reinforce a strong people culture and ethical business practices
• Enhance adoption and utilization of systems and ERP
• Track assigned KPIs
• Understand the corporate and project(s) cost reporting processes and procedures and carry out cost control tasks.
• Produce accurate monthly cost status of project.
• Carry out trend analysis of PI & CPI.
• Produce Quarterly forecast cost at completion and ensure all inputs provided by stakeholders are incorporated.
• Prepare revise budget for the changes in scope or revise BoQ.
• Review data from the time attendance system and ensure labor hours are allocated in right cost code.
• Maintain and update budget in PPM module.
• Prepare monthly Labor Productivity report.
• Prepare material wastage report / material reconciliation.
• Monitor and report budget variances on staff and equipment.
• Allocate budget to the RFQ packages.
• Verify and approve PRs & POs in line with the budget.
• Review and validate actual costs charged to the project.
• Provide cost accruals.
• Monitor recovery of back charges from vendors.
• Reports to and assist the Senior Cost Control Engineer / Cost Control Manger (Projects) on all issues related to Cost Control function.

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic language is a plus.
• Bachelor Degree in Civil / Architect/Electrical /Mechanical
• 5 years’ experience in similar role
• Knowledge in use of Oracle/SAP ERP software, high computer literacy and good working knowledge of relevant cost software is a Plus
• Knowledge of estimating.
• Well versed in MS Excel , MS Word , MS Power Point
• Knowledge of Productivity Norms.
Independent worker who is able to work well with minimal supervision
