Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Teacher will be responsible for assisting the lead toddler teacher implement in engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and promoting positive behavior among students.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards.
  • Create lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, and physical education.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports childhood development.
  • Manage classroom activities effectively while ensuring the well-being of each child.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenges and promote positive interactions.
  • Provide individualized support for children with special needs through early intervention strategies.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress and classroom activities.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share resources.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

  • H.S Dipolma or an A.S or B.A in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Experience in behavior management and classroom management techniques.
  • Understanding of child welfare regulations and best practices in childcare settings.
  • Previous experience in tutoring or providing individualized instruction is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.64 - $17.10 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
