Assistant Accountant

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our furniture retail store. The role requires hands-on experience in retail accounting, GST compliance, and coordination with management for accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily accounts, entries, and ledgers
• Handle GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), reconciliation, and compliance
• Manage sales, purchase, and expense entries
• Maintain stock accounting and coordination with store team
• Bank reconciliation and cash flow management
• Coordinate with CA for audits, filings, and compliance
• Prepare monthly MIS reports for management
• Follow up on receivables and payables
• Ensure accuracy in billing, vouchers, and documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accountant (retail experience preferred)
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance
• Proficiency in Tally / accounting software and MS Excel
• Honest, organized, and capable of handling work independently
• Good coordination and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience in furniture / retail showroom accounting
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
