Senior Accountant Duties and Responsibilities
A senior accountant holds a key role in the finance department, responsible for ensuring the company's financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Below is a list of common duties and responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. General Ledger Management
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
3. Audits and Compliance
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in tax planning, filing, and documentation.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Develop and monitor the company’s budget, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Prepare reports on profitability, operational efficiency, and financial planning.
7. Accounts Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank statements and intercompany transactions.
- Review balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow for accuracy.
8. Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate records for financial transactions, asset tracking, and tax filings.
- Implement efficient filing and documentation systems for easy retrieval.
9. Software and ERP Management
- Utilize accounting software (Tally) for day-to-day tasks.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems.
10. Regulatory and Tax Compliance
- Prepare necessary documentation for tax filings ( GST, income tax).
- Ensure the organization follows all local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
