Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the Finance team in daily accounting, reconciliations, and VAT preparation in compliance with UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record AP/AR transactions and support monthly closing
- Prepare & reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and supplier ledgers
- Assist in preparing VAT returns and maintain FTA-compliant documentation
- Support invoice processing, vendor payments & collections follow-up
- Maintain proper filing of finance documents (SOA, LPOs, GRN, invoices)
- Assist auditors with schedules and supporting documents
- Coordinate with internal departments for finance-related data
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
- 1–3 years accounting experience (UAE experience an advantage)
- Hands-on experience in Zoho Books / Zoho ERP is required
- Knowledge of VAT and UAE FTA compliance
- Strong Excel skills and good analytical ability
- High attention to detail, confidentiality and time-management
- Good communication in English
