Job Description – Assistant Accountant
Position: Assistant Accountant
Location: Brs Nagar, Sunet Road, Above Allahabad bank, Landmark Great Britian Waffles
Department: Accounts & Finance
Reporting To: Senior Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- Income & Cash Management
- Maintain Income Tally on a weekly basis.
- Perform Cash Tally and ensure accuracy on a daily basis.
- Prepare and update Funds Summary on a daily basis.
- Bank & Purchase Accounting
- Conduct Bank Tally and reconciliations on a weekly basis.
- Record and verify Purchase Entries weekly.
- Statutory Compliance & Payments
- Ensure timely TDS Deposit by the 7th of every month.
- Manage ESI/EPF Deposits between the 12th and 15th of every month.
- Handle Rent Payment within the 12th–15th of every month.
- Employee Payments
- Distribute Salaries by the 7th of every month.
- Process Incentives Distribution (monthly/quarterly as applicable).
- Creditors & Vendor Management
- Prepare Creditor’s List by the 17th of each month.
- Ensure timely Creditors Cheque Issuance by the 21st of each month.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare the Monthly Income Sheet by the 10th of every month.
- Prepare Monthly Expenditure Sheet by the 12th of every month.
Skills & Competencies Required:
- Strong knowledge of Tally and accounting principles.
- Good understanding of statutory compliance (TDS, ESI, EPF).
- Hands-on experience in bank reconciliations and vendor payments.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and other accounting tools.
