The Assistant Manager for Accounts & Audit will oversee the day-to-day financial operations and internal audit functions. This role requires a deep understanding of construction-specific accounting, including the percentage of completion method, project profitability analysis, and rigorous cost control. You will support the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate records and ensuring the company remains audit-ready at all times.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) with detailed variance analysis against budgets.
- Manage the construction draw process, ensuring timely disbursement of funds for on-site activities.
- Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
2. Internal & External Audit Management
- Lead internal audit engagements to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual statutory audits, preparing all necessary work papers and documentation.
- Identify business risks and recommend improvements for operational and financial processes.
3. Cost Control & Project Accounting
- Monitor project-specific costs using cost centers and track actual expenses versus budgeted costs.
- Analyze project profitability and provide management with insights for strategic decision-making.
- Manage subcontractor, vendor, and supplier payments, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Manage timely filing of statutory returns, including GST, TDS, EPF, and ESI.
- Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant industry regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CA/CPA/ACCA qualification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience, with at least 2 years specifically in the construction or real estate industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software like Tally Prime, Yardi, PROCORE, or SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for complex financial modeling and reporting.
- Competencies: Strong analytical abilities, leadership skills to manage junior staff, and high attention to detail.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
