Assistant Afterschool Teacher

Job Summary
We are looking for a self-motivated independent teaching artists to assist after school classes from 3:30pm-4:30pm. This is a freelance teaching position suitable for performers, artists, and educators looking for part-time, afternoon work.

Responsibilities

• Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a respectful and focused learning environment.
• Maintain safety protocols at all times
• Support children’s emotional and social development through positive reinforcement and encouragement.

Skills

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order while encouraging curiosity.
• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, camp, or tutoring programs.
• Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and team members positively.
