Assistant / Associate Designer

Role Description

• Assist the Eddie Bauer Men's & Women's Outerwear Design team with daily design and development tasks
• Create and update sketches, tech packs, and line sheets
• Support material, color, and trim development as needed
• Help organize samples, design files, and development records
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, sourcing, and merchandising teams

Qualifications

• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience in trend research and developing on-trend designs
• Strong technical skills in sketching, textile knowledge, and material sourcing
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related discipline
• Passion for the fashion industry and understanding of current market trends
• Outerwear experience is a plus, but not required.

Work Location & Schedule

• New York City office located in Midtown Manhattan
• Hybrid work schedule: Monday–Thursday in-office, Friday work-from-home
