The School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Physics at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) ) invites applications for two full-time positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Mathematics, beginning in August 2026. We welcome candidates who employ high-impact teaching practices that promote active student learning. The appointed faculty members will primarily teach Mathematics and Statistics courses offered to undergraduate students in the Schools of Engineering and Computing, Arts and Sciences, and Business. Demonstrated success in university-level teaching using innovative pedagogical methods and experience working effectively with globally diverse student populations are expected.

Required Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in Mathematics from an accredited institution of higher education (preference will be given to candidates with a background in Data Analysis or Machine Learning)

• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a productive research program in Applied Mathematics

• University-level teaching experience

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices

• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty across disciplines
