Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Barn Manager to support the daily operations of our ranch facilities. This role involves overseeing animal care, equipment maintenance, and farm operations while assisting the Barn Manager in supervising staff and ensuring a safe, efficient environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in horse care, farm machinery, and equipment repair to help maintain our vibrant ranch community.

Duties

• Assist in supervising daily barn activities and staff to ensure smooth operations
• Support barn tasks including feeding, grooming, health monitoring, and handling of horses
• Maintain and repair farm equipment, tools, and machinery using welding, hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical skills
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other farm machinery safely and efficiently
• Assist with irrigation systems, greenhouse maintenance, and horticultural activities to support plant growth and landscape upkeep
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and animal handling
• Support general maintenance tasks around the ranch including fencing repairs, equipment inspections, and facility upkeep

Skills

• Supervising experience in a farm or ranch setting
• Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment repair
• Strong experience in equine care
• Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment safely
• Familiarity with animal care standards and basic math for record keeping or measurements
• Physical ability for heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions

Pay: $500.00 - $650.00 per week
