Job Summary

The Inflight Base Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations at an airline’s base, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused inflight services. This role provides leadership to flight attendants, supervisors, and support staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The Base Manager acts as the primary liaison between inflight teams and other operational departments, driving performance, engagement, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth working of cabin crew operations and effective Base Administration.
  • Ensure Cabin Crew deliver on board safe, efficient, and superlative service experience to all Passengers.
  • Review performance and mentor, coach & motivate the Base Team and crew and foster an efficient working environment.
  • Always uphold company image and value systems and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure cabin crew are conversant and compliant with DGCA regulations, company SOPs, grooming, and discipline standards.
  • Report all safety and service-related concerns to VP – Inflight Services and Dy. General Manager – Inflight Services.
  • Liaise with departments like Catering, OCC, Airport Services, and Cabin Appearance to ensure 100% OTP from IFS.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide coaching and counseling to crew on performance and service issues.
  • Ensure adequate manning levels and represent IFS in cabin crew recruitment drives.
  • Monitor crew performance through briefings, audits, and submit comprehensive reports.
  • Maintain effective base administration and ensure all records and data are up to date.
  • Coordinate with rostering for unplanned flights and ensure smooth operation of special flights.
  • Review flight reports and escalate critical concerns for resolution.
  • Operate flights in exigency or as required.

    • Knowledge of Airline Operations and Inflight Services

    • Computer skills
  • Crew with minimum flying experience of 5 years, out of which minimum 3 years should be as IFM.
Good To Have

  • Preferably a Check Crew.
  • Valid SEP

Educational Qualification

  • Should be Graduate.
