Role:
The Assistant Baseball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Baseball Coach in all aspects of the program. This includes coaching student-athletes, recruiting qualified student-athletes, supporting academic success, organizing practices, coordinating travel, and promoting a positive and competitive team culture that aligns with institutional and athletic association standards.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree.
Interpersonal Skills:Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Other Skills: BS degree in physical education or related field preferred plus 4-5 years' experience with college-level program or as a high school head coach. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Three years recruiting experience preferred, as is experience in an academic discipline or higher education. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Ability to maintain confidential information in professional manner required. Computer proficiency necessary (Microsoft Office preferred).
Physical Requirements: Individual should possess the physical dexterity to demonstrate baseball specific drills and be able to lift at least 50 lbs. on a daily basis. Individual will be required to travel for recruiting and conferences and must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Work Environment: Work will be conducted in an office setting and in various indoor/outdoor athletic facilities.
