Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper / Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills while supporting the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with various bookkeeping functions using leading accounting software. Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and transaction recording using software such as Buildium, Wellsfago & QuickBooks
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Prepare and process journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting activities in compliance with DRE Policy
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including account analysis and financial report writing
- Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, bank statements, and other financial documentation
- Contribute to budgeting processes and support technical accounting tasks as needed
Experience
- Proven experience with bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within corporate or property management industry
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Knowledge of Accounting standards and CADRE accounting practices is a plus
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, Bill Pay and bank reconciliation processes
- Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks
- Basic tax experience and familiarity with payroll processes are advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to analyze accounts and prepare clear financial reports
- Prior experience in public accounting or technical accounting roles is beneficial

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
