Assistant Bridge Engineer

An Assistant Bridge Engineer supports senior staff in designing, analyzing, inspecting, and maintaining bridge structures, handling tasks like structural calculations, drafting plans, cost estimation, site inspections, and ensuring compliance with codes, working from inception to completion on various project stages for both new builds and existing assets. Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Analysis: Assist with structural analysis, design calculations, and producing schematic designs for bridges and related structures (retaining walls, etc.).
• Documentation: Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct field inspections, investigate existing structures, and support maintenance schemes.
• Project Support: Help with project management aspects, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordinating teams.
• Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety standards, codes (AASHTO, Eurocodes, etc.), and regulations.
• Software: Utilize CAD software (like AutoCAD, Microstation) and analysis tools.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with senior engineers, other specialists, and junior staff, potentially mentoring graduates.

Typical Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited is often preferred).
• Minimum 3 years ,Experience in structural analysis, design, or maintenance of bridges/structures.
• Familiarity with design software and industry standards. AGE GROUP 25-30
